I spent a decade in the television news industry, reporting on everything from snow storms and politics in Lansing and Flint, Michigan to chasing tornadoes in Little Rock, Arkansas. After I hung up my news hat I decided to focus my career on what I love best -- harnessing the power of news media to tell stories, educate the public and ultimately raise brand awareness. From launching a television show for the Better Business Bureau in Colorado, to handling public affairs for Kaiser Permanente's iconic "Sunset Hospital" in the heart of Los Angeles to managing crisis media events which thrust Orlando Health in the international media spotlight - my public relations experience is as diversified as it is extensive. I launched JoLu Communications, named for my kids, to provide clients in Orlando and beyond, with specialized public relations services including media relations representation, media pitching, event planning, social media content management, writing and strategizing on ways to keep up in this 24/7 news cycle. Outside of work, I'm a busy wife and a proud mom of two kids. An athletics family you'll often find us cheering on the UCF Knights or on the side lines of the kids sporting events. A Michigan girl by birth I've turned Floridian by heart. I love warm weather, year round flip flops, wine and time at the pool.
